Star Seal Pro Blend
STAR-SEAL PRO BLEND® is a professional grade, emulsion (water based) sealcoating for jobs that demand outstanding performance. Available as an Asphalt or Heavy-Duty refined tar emulsion, STAR-SEAL PRO BLEND® has an extraordinary degree of toughness and water repellency, unmatched by any competitive sealer. The “Hot Blending” of catalyzed rubber and select polymers with the Refined Tar in STAR-SEAL PRO-BLEND® greatly improves its durability and overall longevity. Superior water repellency is achieved with the use of specialty chemicals that enhance the water resistance of the cured coating. Star Seal Aviator
STAR AVIATOR® is designed as a premium grade, water based sealcoating that is superior to other conventional FAA mix design sealers. Available as an Asphalt or Heavy-Duty Refined Tar emulsion, STAR AVIATOR®, as supplied, already contains the rubber necessary to meet FAA specifications. The rubber is “Hot Blended” during the manufacturing process to ensure that it is properly fused into the Refined Tar. Cold mixing simply does not achieve the same level of bonding to the tar particles. The superiority of STAR AVIATOR® has been well established in the field for nearly two decades. STAR AVIATOR® has been certified by an independent testing laboratory and compliance certification to FAA specifications is available upon request. STAR AVIATOR® has toughness and flexibility at all temperatures as well as resistance to kerosene, gasoline, oil, chemicals and de-icing salts. Many contractors know that many airport projects requires sealcoating systems to meet certain performance criteria, prior to use on the project. Sealcoating professionals are struggling with mix designs and pre-qualification tests. FAA projects are, in general, considered bothersome with too many requirements and controls. Due to the uncertainties with FAA specifications, rejuvenators have encroached aggressively upon sealcoating projects in recent years.

Star Seal Micro-Pave
STAR MICRO-PAVE® is a heavy-duty, Asphalt or Refined Tar emulsion (water based) sealcoating specifically designed to protect and beautify asphalt pavements. Based on carefully selected grades of asphalt binders, minerals, specialty additives and performance boosters, STAR MICRO-PAVE® has an extraordinary degree of toughness and water repellency, unmatched by any competitive sealer. Star Seal Star Green
STAR GREEN is an acrylic polymers-based sealcoating that belongs to a new generation of sealcoatings that are totally free of refined or asphalt binders. STAR GREEN is totally free of PAHs (polycyclic hydrocarbons). STAR GREEN cures to a beautiful black color that does not fade or weather with time, In addition to acrylic polymers, STAR GREEN is made with a select group of pigments, fillers and surface active compounds. It is easy to apply and store. Its durability will match to that of any premium grade sealer.

PROTECTION
STAR-SEAL® is a heavy-duty refined tar sealer that is specifically designed to protect bituminous pavements. Composed of high temperature refined tar pitch, select mineral fillers and surfactants, STAR-SEAL® forms a tough, durable and flexible coating that protects asphalt pavements from the damaging elements of weather, water, salts, gas and other petro-chemicals.
APPEARANCE
The dark charcoal black color of STAR-SEAL® improves the appearance of new and old asphalt pavements. Unprotected asphalt surfaces gradually lose their rich black color due to oxidation and weathering. STAR-SEAL® preserves the smoothness and resilience of asphalt surfaces and helps hide rough spots, small cracks, patches and surface depressions. Pavements coated with STAR-SEAL® look cleaner because rainfall washes dirt and debris easily from the smooth, non-porous surface. Traffic lines become more visible.
ECONOMY
STAR-SEAL® substantially reduces maintenance costs and at the same time, extends the life of asphalt pavements by as much as 300%. The cost of STAR-SEAL® is truly a minor expense when compared to the cost of pavement replacement. STAR-SEAL® also greatly extends the life of existing sound pavements.
RESISTS FUEL PENETRATION
Resists gas, oil, salt and chemical penetration. Asphalt is a petroleum derivative, soluble in distillates such as gas, jet fuel and oil drippings. STAR-SEAL® prevents damage from distillates and chemicals.
PREVENTS WATER PENETRATION
The intrusion of moisture into asphalt pavement structure accelerates its deterioration and is strongly related to pavement distress. The sealing of well-cured asphalt with STAR-SEAL® prevents the seepage of moisture from snow and rain, thus preventing damage from freeze-thaw cycles.
STOPS OXIDATION
Actinic rays in sunlight can oxidize the asphalt oils in pavement, causing brittleness and a resulting loss of aggregates which may rob up to 50% of the original asphalt thickness in just five years. A pavement sealcoated with STAR-SEAL® will resist oxidative degradation and retain its value.
REDUCES COSTS & INCREASES VALUE

APPLICATION
STAR-SEAL® must be applied to structurally sound pavements by experienced applicators. Asphalt pavement should be protected by two coats of STAR-SEAL®, however, the quantities and coverage rates must conform to manufacturer’s detailed specifications. Average coverage rates are 0.18 to .20 undiluted gallons per square yard. STAR MACRO-FLEX®, latex additive and silica sand may be added for increased traction and durability.
